How long do most repairs take?
Phone screen and battery repairs are often completed in 30–60 minutes when parts are in stock. Console HDMI repairs typically take 1–3 business days. Computer and laptop repairs usually take 1–2 business days. Motherboard and micro-soldering work may take 2–5 business days depending on complexity.
Do you offer same-day repair?
Many common phone repairs — screens, batteries, charging ports — can be completed the same day if parts are available. Console, computer and board-level repairs generally require more time for proper diagnostics and testing.
How much does a repair cost?

Do you use quality parts?
Yes. JWS explains part options — including the difference between OEM-quality and aftermarket parts — before starting any repair. The focus is on dependable outcomes rather than racing to the lowest price. Warranty coverage is included on replaced parts.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
Yes. Repairs performed by JWS include warranty coverage on replaced parts. If an issue arises after a covered repair, bring the device back and JWS will evaluate it.
Do you fix PS5 and Xbox HDMI ports?
Yes. HDMI port repair is one of the most common services at JWS. PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One HDMI repairs are available for both walk-in and mail-in customers.
Can I mail in my device for repair?
Yes. JWS accepts mail-in repairs for phones, tablets, game consoles, controllers and motherboards. Submit the online mail-in form, ship the device securely and JWS will contact you with a diagnosis and quote. Free return shipping is included when you approve the repair.
What areas does JWS serve?
JWS is located at 1167 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon, NY and serves surrounding communities including Deer Park, West Babylon, Babylon, Lindenhurst, Bay Shore, Brentwood, Copiague, Amityville, Commack, Islip, Farmingdale, Massapequa, Suffolk County and Nassau County. Mail-in repair extends service nationwide.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, but walk-ins are welcome during business hours. You can book an appointment online through the booking page.
What are the shop hours?
JWS is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The shop is closed on Sundays.
Can you repair a phone that will not turn on?
Potentially, yes. No-power issues can be caused by battery failure, charging circuit problems or board-level damage. JWS runs diagnostics to identify the root cause before recommending a path. Micro-soldering is available for board-level failures.
Do you repair water-damaged phones?
Yes. JWS performs ultrasonic board cleaning and component-level inspection for liquid damage. The sooner a water-damaged device is brought in, the better the chance of recovery. Waiting allows corrosion to spread and reduces repair success rates.
Can you fix controller stick drift?
Yes. JWS replaces analog stick modules on PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch Pro and Joy-Con controllers. The replacement addresses the root cause of drift rather than temporary calibration fixes.
Do you repair MacBooks?

What if the repair is not worth it?
JWS is upfront about repair economics. If the cost of repair approaches or exceeds the replacement value of the device, you will hear that before any work begins. There is no charge for the initial diagnostic assessment.
Do you sell phone cases or screen protectors?
Screen protectors are available and recommended after screen repairs. Ask about protection options when picking up your device.
